The "euro" profile refers to the standardized cylindrical shape and internal pin mechanism, which became the industry standard across Europe and Asia.
These locks are measured in millimeters, typically ranging from 70 mm to 100 mm in total length. The measurement is taken from the edge of the escutcheon (the mounting plate) on one side to the edge on the other side. Common sizes in Singapore residential properties are 70/30 (70 mm outer, 30 mm inner) and 80/40, where the first number is the total length and the second is the distance from the outer face to the center of the cylinder.
